About This Blog

I think I am a blog addict.  On the date this blog was created, I had six blogs of varying subjects, and that wasn't counting the one I had deleted or the ones owned by others that I contributed to.  I asked my friends if I should consolidate and the answer was a pretty unanimous "yes."My original blog was called "The Living Basket" and was started with the concept of being a "beauty blog" when I was selling cosmetics.  The tagline was "Passionate Pondering of Life, The Arts, and Worthwhile Causes" and it showcased just those things -- beautiful people (with emphasis on inner beauty), poetry, art, featured causes/charities and inspirational thoughts that were on my mind.

When I became the One Life to Live Examiner at Examiner.com, I tried to only post factual, non-biased, informative articles about my subject matter.  I found myself wanting to interject my personal opinions -- including those about other soaps -- so I started "Secret Airs."  I later deleted the blog (realizing I had too many blogs) when I started another soap blog -- "Llanview Society."  "Llanview Society" was to be about the characters on One Life to Live, as explained by fans who knew them well.

At the same time, I had a blog called "Find Your Light," which I had started in hopes of sharing lots of great thoughts about the arts, acting, and entertainment.  (Most of the entries in this blog could probably have been posted in my "Living Basket" blog.)

Naturally, I also had my own personal blog, where I basically kept a journal and posted pictures of interesting things I encountered and great meals that my culinary boyfriend made.

"Why not just write about all the things I love and thoughts I want to share in one place?" I eventually thought to myself after a particularly busy few months in which I struggled to keep up with my writing and felt spread too thin.  Here you have it -- my ONE blog.

About Me

My boyfriend of six years and I have a border collie named Ziggy and a little black and white kitty named Ozzi.  I am the oldest of four – a brother who is a veteran and two sisters.  I attended Stella Adler Academy of Acting in Hollywood, California and hope to return there someday for further study.  I love the performing arts (especially acting), photography, art and, most of all, writing.

I grew up in the country, where playmates were often miles away.  I am thankful for this for several reasons.  First of all, I feel especially privileged to have grown up among the same hills, trees, creeks, churches, valleys, and dusty roads as several generations on both sides of my family.  Second, this privilege allowed me to form a special bond with my family – the loving people I spent so many of my formative hours with, and the cousins who served as my dearest friends.  Perhaps the most shaping part of growing up in the country was that it required me to develop my imagination, which I thank God for and exercise often.
